Sobriety & the 8 Limbed Path of Yoga

  • Sobriety Workshops

Healing is not about fixing—it’s about being witnessed, supported, and empowered. My Sobriety Workshops offer a compassionate space to explore freedom from old patterns through yoga, meditation, and reflection. Rooted in Patanjali’s Eight-Limbed Path, this curriculum is shared in partnership with yoga studios and community spaces, offering simple tools for clarity, strength, and inner peace. Stay tuned for upcoming workshop dates by subscribing to my newsletter.

  • Public Speaking

Sobriety and recovery are often private journeys, but I’ve chosen to share my own path of healing from attachment. I speak openly with universities, community groups, and podcast audiences about how yoga and meditation can support recovery and lasting well-being, and I am available for public speaking and collaborative engagements.

Podcast Episode

I recently joined the Sun & Moon Sober Living podcast to share my recovery journey and how yoga, meditation, and food as medicine can support healing. We explore topics like surrender, trauma-informed recovery, family dynamics of addiction, and how Patanjali’s Eight-Limbed Path of Yoga offers compassionate, non-prescriptive tools for sobriety.

Client Testimonials

“I have practiced yoga for most of my life and practiced recovery for 48 years. I was very excited to be with others in alternate paths to freedom from addiction. Shawna’s leadership permitted a high degree of safety.” - Anonymous

“Shawna created a safe space for us and is a very good teacher of philosophy and asanas. I was so grateful to have this container.” - Anonymous
